ABC sign language cards

Our granddaughter is hearing impaired and I have been wanting to do an ABC book with sign language. I started doing it with the intention of using felt but, I just could not get it to come together like I wanted it to.

Once I had each letter and what each one stood for along with the sign for the letter it was time to figure out how I was putting it together.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to print each one out. I ended up printed it out on 5x7 photo paper and then laminating them.

Then I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut holes out to put the cards on rings.  I am very pleased with this and I really hope this will help my granddaughter learn her ABC's by signing and saying the letters.

Here is what they look like before they were laminated and put on the rings.

Sublimated Pillowcase

I came across some 100% polyester pillowcases and thought it would be nice to make a photo pillowcase for our daughter.

In one of my Facebook pages someone posted about this site.

www.neoformix.com/Projects/WordHearts/   I used this site to put my granddaughters, son in law and daughter's name inside of a heart.

I opened Photoshop and designed one half of the pillowcase with two photos and I placed half of the heart so I could see how it would line up.

I did the same thing on the other side. Then I printed it out using my SG800 sublimation printer.  I used the larger paper and then we lined it up  and pressed it for each photo and the heart.

It came out really good and it is so soft.  I know my daughter is going to love it.  She has seen it but, not in person.  I hope this will help her since she is in the Navy and underway.  She misses her family so much.

Mug for my hair stylist.

I wanted to make a mug for my hair stylist and I could not figure out what to make then I said she is my therapist and my husband said I should put Lucy from Charlie Brown on a cup where the doctor is in.

So I sublimated Lucy on the mug but, instead of it saying the doctor is in I have it saying the Hairapist is in just a little play on words.

Here is the front.

Then I put some scissors and her name on the other side.

Grinch mug

Once I read that our dog sitter likes the Grinch, we just had to make her a mug with the Grinch on it.

She was so happy to get it and my husband and I were very pleased to make it for it and happy how it came out.  The photos do not give it justice.

Here is one side.

Here is the center. With her name and the Grinch font and the same color green as one of the photos.

Sublimated mugs for my Navy Mom Friends.

Using designs I have in my Silhouette Cameo program I put the cut designs together and added the colors I wanted them to be.  Then I printed it using my sublimated printer.  A few of them had some blurs on them.  So my husband and I made them over again.  Found out the mug press was not tight enough, the second time they worked.

Had not planned on sending the messed up ones. but, knowing these two wonderful ladies I knew they would love the cups just as they are.

Here is the front of one of the cups.

 Here is the back.
I also made this same design in a blue but, I put it in the mail and forgot to get a photo of it.

Here is one I made for another Navy Mom along with the one above. This only has one side to it. I am very pleased with the color of this and how it turned out.

Sublimated mug

Yes, we are doing sublimated mugs for lots of people but, all are different. This is one I made for my friend. Using a program I found online  http://www.neoformix.com/Projects/WordHearts/

I put in different types of coffee and used my mug template in Photoshop and printed it out using my sublimation printer.  I really love the colors and the way it turned out.

Sublimated cup for Michael

The first sublimated cup we made with a photos from Italy did not come out the way it should have. It had blurs and was done for too long. Once my husband and I figured out the right time, he re-did the mug and changed one of the photos out.  This second go around was much better.  We made one for the two of us and one for our son.

There is a glare on the photo but, that is not on the cup it is from the flash.  This is the front of the cup.

Back of the cup this, is a photo of Pompeii. Taken when we went to see our son in Italy in October.

First home ornament

My husband was asked if I would do a first home ornament.  I had planned on doing it with vinyl but, in a box of samples we received from Conde there was some different ornaments and I thought it would be cool to take the design and instead of vinyl sublimate it.

Doing this it would look nicer and last longer. Using my Silhouette program I colored the design all in and had it scaled to the correct size then we printed it to the sublimation printer.  Following the directions it took longer to do on the heat press but, once it was all done wow it looked amazing so happy with the results.

This photo does not give it justice but, I am really pleased with how it looks.

Another Ornament

This ornament is a design using my Silhouette program I colored it all in and the printed it out using the sublimated printer.  I had a black outline but, it did not show up and the Christmas tree blended in with the wreath but, it still turned out pretty.

This is a one sided ornament.

Sublimated Ornament

This is an ornament I made with a sample I received from Conde when I placed an order on black Friday. Using the template and Photoshop I worked really hard on the back ground and adding all the elements.  Really liked how the colors came out.

Inside the bell is the year 2015.  The back of the ornament is the background with no writing.

Sublimated Christmas Mugs

Here are some sublimated mugs my husband and I created using the Silhouette Cameo program. Then we printed it using our sublimated printer.  Very pleased with the how the all turned out.

Cut out Christmas cards

Here is another Christmas card I made.  Now, once again I really like the cards but, not real comfortable doing the cards. Not sure what it is with me and the paper products.  Anyway this is a 4x6 photo card but, you can also cut out a card insert and put it in the card.

I cut the card out in red and green then I switched the colors.  This also came with an envelope that I could cut out.  I bought both of these last year and never made them.  They really were the easiest to do.

Christmas cups

A friend of mine asked if I could make 5 cups for her and she wanted the same colors and saying on all.  After looking around this is what I came up with she was very happy with these.  I used different shades of green and red and different designs.

Christmas Gift Card Holders

So I don't do cards that often.  For some reason I just get frustrated doing them, even through most are pretty simple to do.  I recently came across these really cute gift card holders and decided to give them a try.

Besides getting glue on my table and other areas they turned out pretty good.  All the designs were purchased at the Silhouette store.

The first photo is with the card closed.

Second photo is with card opened.
