Water bottle label

I have seen many of the water bottle labels showing how much water you have drank and how much more you need to do.  I am trying to drink more water, so I decided to get a new water bottle and put one of the labels on it.

Through a lot of trial and error, I was finally able to get the right size and get the water showing it going down.  I cut this six times because I was cutting it way to small and it was just not working.

I got a few files from different groups I am in on Facebook and using my Silhouette Cameo I cut this out in vinyl.  Once I finally got it cut for the right size, I did not want to mess it up so I had my husband weed it and place it on the bottle.

I am pleased how this came out.  When it was all done I had a nice area on the back for a inspirational saying.  I had some flourishes on the top and bottom but, for some reason it just was not working.  So for now I am leaving it the way it is.  I also ran out of the yellow but, had some lime green and I think it looks good.

Dollar Tree night light

On one of my Facebook groups I read where people are purchasing night lights that already have a design on the.  But, they use pure acetone and they can get the design off really easy. So I purchased some Dollar Tree night lights with the design and tried it for myself.

My husband had some pure acetone and the design came off so easy and clean.  From there I just picked a design for the light. Here it is all cleaned and ready for vinyl.

Using my Silhouette Cameo I cut out the design that I wanted.  I made sure to measure so that it would fit.

Here it is with the light off.

Now, with the light on.

My daughter received this today and she had no idea that I made.  She absolutist loved it, this just made my day.

Saying for my coffee cup

I purchased this coffee cup a while ago but, I could not figure out just what I wanted to do with it.  Then someone posted on Facebook a coffee cup with a saying and that was it as soon as I seen it I just knew it was the perfect thing for my cup.  So using my Silhouette Cameo I cut out the saying and my hubby weeded out the letters and we set it up on the cup.

We could only put the top three lines on first and tape it down and etch it then do the last line.

Here are the top lines with the etching creme.  I left it on for 15 mins.
Then I rinsed the cup and added the last line.

Here is the end result, so happy I finally figured out what to put on my cup.  Just love how it turned out.

Love Onesis for the G-Babies

Talking to my daughter, she is going to have some photos done of the girls with a Valentine theme. She was due to have them today but, the photographer had to cancel.  She is rescheduled for next Saturday.

I had picked up some long sleeved onesis for both the girls and told her I could decorate them.  She lives in VA and we live in MS but, I knew I could come up with something and have them in the mail and to her before Saturday.

I took the design I put on the Valentine's day Mason jar for my second granddaughter.  Then I found for the sign language for love for my first granddaughter. My oldest granddaughter is hearing impaired.

My daughter does not like her girls to be dressed the same so I came up with the idea of both of them wearing the word love on their shirts but, one is with sign language and the other is the word.

Here are the two shirts the top one is for the older G-baby and the bottom is for her sister.

Using my Silhouette Cameo I traced the photo of the sign language.  Then using my Silhouette Cameo and Siser easy weed I cut out the hand in maroon.

At the same time I cut out the word love for the second shirt.
Then I cut out a red heart for the center of the hand.

Same time I cut out the large red heart I cut out three small red hearts.  I used Siser easy weed for the red.  I could have made it wear I did not cut the hearts out in maroon and red but, wanted to have the line up where they needed to be so I just put the red hearts over the maroon ones.

Here are the two shirts together.  I am looking forward to seeing them wearing these shirts.  They are both going to be a little big on the girls but, they will grow into them and they are not just for Valentine's day they can wear them any day.

Valentine Bears.

In many of my craft pages on Facebook people have been buying these little stuffed animals at the Dollar Tree.  They are only 6.5 inches tall.  What these crafty people are doing is putting names on the animals using heat transfer material.  They have also put the year on the feet of the animals.

Many have heat presses and they just smash the animals in the press.  I really liked this idea and wanted to do it for my granddaughters.  I do not have a heat press but, I read that some have done it with an iron.

Today, I purchased two bears and using my Silhouette cameo and using Siser easy weed I cut out my granddaughters names.  Then I placed the name on the chest of the bears and covered the entire bear with a cloth.  I pressed really hard for a count of 25.  Then I pressed again for another count of 25 and I am so very pleased with how they turned out.  Cannot wait to send them to my G-babies.  I also have two bunnies that will decorate for their Easter Baskets.

Mardi Gras Mason Jar

Since I did a Valentine's day jar I decided to do a Mardi Gras jar.  I live in South Mississippi and we celebrate Mardi Gras.  I still had some Mardi Gras even after giving bags away.  So I put some purple, green and gold beads in a Mason Jar.
 Here is the back view.

Using my Silhouette Cameo I cut out the saying Lassez Les bon temps rouler!  Which means
"Let the good times roll!

This along with my bowl of Mardi Gras ornaments my table is all set for Mardi Gras.

Valentine's charger plate

Yesterday, I seen that I had a red charger plate and an empty plate holder so I decided to decorate  a plate for Valentine's day.  I had a couple different designs and I just was not sure which one to do. I text my friend and asked I also asked her for color choices.  Many times I ask my husband but, it is nice to change up and get different opinions.

The design is from the Silhouette store, I made it a little too big even through I had the charger to check the size.  Hubby said just cut again but, I did not want to waste the vinyl so I placed each line and put it as straight as I could.  I love the different colors.

Then I felt it needed  something on the rim so I did a cupid with an offset in white so that it would stand out against the red plate.  Hubby said to add a heart and I had some pink hearts already cut so I added one to the top and bottom.

It is for us and my husband thinks I should leave it out all year long not just Valentine's day.  Pleased with how it looks and turned out. I can see it is slightly crooked but, I am still happy with it.

Decorated Mason Jar

I have a bunch of Mason jars and I decided to create this design and cut it out in pink.  I Googled the love sign and just traced it in Silhouette then added hearts and welded them all together. Then I cut it out in pink vinyl.

I plan on putting some Valentine's M&M's candy in the jar but, until I get some I took some red tulle and placed it in the jar.  The I took some pink tulle and put it on top the lid and tied it around and made a little pink bow.  I do like it the way it is but, I think the colored candy would be nice too.

While at the Dollar Tree I found these table scatters in the shape of hearts. So I picked up two red packs and one pink.  Now, instead of putting Valentine's colored M&M's candy I just used this.

I did a layer of red then pink and finished with red.

Here is a side view, I really like this, it can store just as is.

Phone charger wrap

Well, it is a fact that not too many things are safe around me and vinyl.  My husband and I have similar phone chargers, his is for the Samsung Galaxy S5 and mine is for the Samsung Galaxy S4. I had seen online where people decorated their chargers.

I had a chevron pattern that I put on printable vinyl. Then I cut out the rectangle for the charger.  I am so pleased with how it turned out. Now, I can tell my charger from my husband's.  Normally we do not have our chargers together unless we are traveling but, either way I tell which one is mine.

Mardi Gras Ornaments.

A few weeks ago I went to Hobby Lobby and I found a box of small ornaments. They are only 1.38 inches. I got them for $1.45 regularly they are $6.99.  My plan was to make them into Mardi Gras ornaments for my table.

So I glittered 7 purple, 7 green and 6 gold.
From there I glued glitter ribbon around the caps. I was going to tie bows on them but, then the color of the caps would not be seen. so I just tied ribbon through the loop.

Each one has purple, green and gold.

Once all done I just placed them in the crystal bowl.

I may add or do some more for Mardi Gras and Valentine's day but, this is it for now. I have Mardi Gras on one side then Valentine's day on the other side and in the middle is our etched wine bottle with our name.

Valentines Ornaments.

Found these ornaments in the Christmas clearance aisle at Michael's wished they had more than one package.  They are heart shaped and I thought they would be so cute for Valentines Day.

The first one I was making, it slipped right out of my hand and shattered all over the place.  Lucky for me I still had 5 left.  I may try to find a wire ornament tree but, for now I have placed them on a crystal plate.

So I took the ornaments and added the Mop & Glo then the glitter.  Here is a link to my original post on how to do the ornaments.
http://nelliebee133.blogspot.com/2013/10/glitter-ornaments.html

I was going to do them in different colors but, my husband said he liked them all in the red glitter.  I purchased some white ribbon and I wanted to put a small bow on the cap.  I do not make bows at all, then I was playing with the ribbon and I figured out how to make small bows.  So I made five little bows and glued them on the cap. I like how they turned out.

I am very pleased with how my bows and ornaments turned out.

As much as I liked these ornaments I felt they needed something more.  I wanted to put a message but, since one broke I only had five.  So I thought of be mine but, too many letters.  My husband said just the letter b and the word mine.  The we both thought of a bee and the word mine.  Here is the end result, I am so pleased with how it turned out.

Etched Wine and Beer Glasses

So in the beginning of December I was on the phone with my son and he mentioned whose name he picked at work to get a Christmas gift for.  Since he is overseas he wanted to order something and have it mailed to our home and then have me mail it to him.  This would have been quicker but, when I heard what he wanted the two of us started thinking and we decided that I could make something and mail it to him.

His friend is a huge LA kings fan so I etched the logo on the glasses. My son wanted it to read Stanley Cup Champions and the years, along with her name.
I was so lucky I got the design approved and with my husband's help we etched a beer mug and wine glass.  Then we mailed it out right away we got lucky and it arrived rather quickly. So he had it before the holidays.

Here is a photo of the wine glass. Her name is on the back but, for privacy I will leave the photo with her name off.
Here is a pic of the beer mug. The receiver of the gift was very pleased with both the glasses.

Dresses for my G-Babies

During the holidays, I seen these cute little dresses at Hobby Lobby.  They were already a good price but, they were on sale. I was lucky I found both of my G-babies sizes.  Then my mind just started going crazy of what I could do with them.

I then came up with the idea of using printable heat transfer material.  I took the same monkey and turtle design I used for their night lights to use for these dresses.  I had planned on doing one big monkey on the front but, then my husband mentioned doing three just like the three turtles.

I used my Silhouette Cameo but, it did not cut all the way so I ended up cutting it with scissors.  In doing this I could not get the branch for the monkey to work but, I liked it with out the branch.
With this material it is so easy to use, you do not have to mirror the image you just put it where you want and press it on.  So I was able to line everything up just how I wanted and press it on.

Dish Towel Recipes

I wanted to put some of my mother in laws recipes on some dish towels and give them to my sister in laws and my daughter.  I thought about using my Silhouette Cameo and tracing it but, was not really sure it would work out using heat transfer material.  Plus, I wanted to show the recipe cards.

Then I found in my closet some iron on t-shirt material.  I used my Silhouette to put the front and back of the recipes together. Then I sized them up and I mirrored the image and just printed them out and ironed them on. I did not use the Silhouette to cut it out I just kept them as a square and ironed them out.

They were very well received, my mother in law has been gone for 10 years. She was a wonderful person and is missed everyday.  I was so happy to do this for them.  I gave them the towels along with the heaven ornament.

I actually delivered my daughter's to her and she was so moved she cried when she seen her Grammy's handwriting.

Heaven ornaments

I made these ornaments for my sister in laws. It is a design that I purchased from the Silhouette store.  It is very small print and not easy to weed.  I messed up a couple then I seen how to do reverse weeding and I tried that. I was so pleased with how it worked.  I also made one for my daughter it is purple glitter with white vinyl.

Here is a photo of all of them together.

Below are photos of each one.

Wooden stands for night lights.

One of the groups I belong to a lady posted instructions on how to make a stand for the glass blocks. Along with a hole for the cord for the single light. I really liked how this looked and wanted to have one for both the night lights I had made for my granddaughter's.

My husband took the instructions and modified them instead of screws, he used glue and nails.  We also decided we wanted to leave the stand natural and not painted.  Once my husband completed the stands.

I used my Silhouette to cut both my granddaughter's names out in vinyl.  I also cut out some hearts and a moon to go with the glass blocks.

Here is the monkey one on the stand with the light on.

Here it is with the light off.
Here is the turtle one with the stand and light on.

Here is one with the lights off.

Now, these blocks are just not quite ready, the bows need to be added.  I have a bowdabra and I had the material all picked out so that the bows would match the designs but, also match each other.

Once the bow was made we used a glue gun and glued the bows on then fluffed them up.  Being that they are made using the wire ribbon it was easy to bend and fluff them.

I seen some bulbs in the Christmas section and I thought it would be nice to get some colored bulbs for the night lights.  I picked up some blue bulbs.  My daughter changed out the bulb to the blue and she likes it better it gives a nice glow but, not too bright.  The photos were taken with a cell phone it is not the best photos but, I do like the blue bulb.
