Glitter and Vinyl Ornaments.

I have been working on making some more glitter and vinyl ornaments.  The photo does not do it justice. A place we go to eat at often has a server that just had twins.  She asked if I could make her some ornaments for her babies and I did.  They say their name and first Christmas.

I made the purple one with the white snowflake for my sister and the Nativity scene is for my mom. The white one with Christmas tree is for my niece.

Christmas frame sign.

I seen a framed sign on a Silhouette blog and I thought I could do that but, I did not want to put it on the glass so that I had a lot of frames instead I used scrapbook paper and vinyl and put it in a frame. Then I took ribbon and glued it around the frame. I have made three of them , here is a photo of one of them.

Snowflake Glitter Ornament

I was so excited to put a snowflake on the red ornament with the snowflake ribbon.  It turned out so much better than I thought. More photos of my crafts to come.

Ribbons and Ornaments

So I decided that I wanted to use ribbons for my glitter ornaments instead of hooks.  I also took and glued ribbon around the cap and then tied a ribbon to the cap.  I have not put vinyl on many of them that is going to be the next step.

I should have done the vinyl before I did the caps and ribbon but, it is okay it will all work out just fine. So here are my glitter ornaments with ribbon.  I did two square ones that are plastic they need more Mop & Glo and glitter to really stick.  But, I do like the way they all turned out.

The one with the Nativity scene was a gift but, it came out crooked so I will keep it and just do another one on a different shape so that it can lay flatter.  The last photo I have not found the color ribbon that I would like for them but, I will.  I got lucky and found a perfect match to the pretty pink glitter ornament.

ornaments with vinyl

Using my Silhouette Cameo I added some vinyl to the glitter ornaments.  Then I found some ribbon and just tied them on.
Since my daughter knows I am making them I am going to go ahead and post some photos of them here on my blog.

My Daughter's Glitter Ornaments.

My daughter lives in Virgina and is in the U.S. Navy, she is married with a 4 month old.  She works long hours but, she still managed to make some glitter ornaments.  I have posted different crafts and she never did any of them but, this one she really liked and felt that she could do it.

I just wanted to post her results and to show you just how quick and easy it is to do and they come out so pretty.  Just Mop & Glo and some fine glitter. Below is the first ones she did, I really like the shape and the colors.

The complete step by step directions is the post labeled glitter ornaments.

Here is another set she did, she is thinking she will add ribbon to use as the hanger instead of a hook.

This last photo is of all of them she did.  I really like the different sizes and colors.  She did a really good job.  She likes how quick and easy it is to do it and how beautiful they turn out.

I have some more ornaments in different shapes and I will be doing some more soon. Happy crafting everyone.
