Skype Baby Shower

My daughter is expecting her first baby in June. She and her husband live in Virginia and I wanted to do some kind of baby shower for her.  Talking with a friend of mine she gave me the idea to do a Skype baby shower.

Everything was going to be at my home and then my daughter would Skype in for the party. First thing I did was go on line to Pinterest to find some ideas for the shower.  I found this website and I loved what this lady did so I took her ideas and just tweaked them here and there to fit our party.
Here is here website.

I had seen on Pinterest the idea of bringing a book instead of a card, since my daughter loves to read we thought this would be a wonderful idea.

Here is the start of my granddaughter's library.
Her colors are pink and brown and I found some Chinese vellum take out boxes at the Dollar Tree.
I then purchased some cherry blossoms.  I put some small socks on the cherry blossoms with small clothes pins.

I had a wicker basket with a pink and brown polka dot cover that held the thank you cards along with this note. I made the note using my Silhouette Cameo.

Using my Silhouette Cameo I took brown vinyl and cut out a bare tree. I placed the vinyl on a white canvas.  Then I purchased some pink and purple paint.  I had everyone put their finger print on the tree and sign their name. Here is the sign for the tree and the tree before it is done.
Now here is the fingerprint tree.
Using my Silhouette Cameo I cut out some treat boxes. I then put a thank you on the boxes.

We hung up ribbon as a clothes line and then hung some baby clothes up.
Using my Silhouette Cameo I made a banner with the baby's name and hung up two little hats with it.
For my favors I took return address labels put on some cherry blossoms and thanked everyone for coming to my daughter's Skype baby shower.
Had two larger white Chinese boxes that I used for candy.  We tied pink baby ribbon around the handle and in one box was pink, white and brown taffy. The other one had Whoppers.
My daughter was in charge of the games and the guests took turns opening up each others gifts.
Here is her dad showing her one of the books she got.
This worked out perfectly and we all had such a great time.
