Trying Etching

Now on to etching:

So now, I wanted to try and take the candle holders and do some etchings on them. I did not want to invest a lot of money or time and then find I did not like it or it was too hard to do.  So that is when I purchased a Martha Stewart kit from Michael's.

It was so easy to do the kit had everything but, the tape you need to seal off the areas you do not want any etching cream to get on.

I cleaned the area that was going to be etched with rubbing alcohol then I put the reusable stencil on the glass and taped it off.  Once this is done I put a nice layer of the etching creme over the stencil and let sit for 5 to 10 mins. Then just rinse off, it is that easy and they come out really nice.

I just added some colored glass and a votive and put on my table. Here is the website where I seen how easy it was to do etchings.
