First Project

Dollar Tree candle holders

Through Pinterest I found all kinds of ideas and that is where my projects come from.
This first project is taking a candle stick and gluing a square candle holder to it using E-6000 glue which I read about and found it to be very strong glue.

Once they set for 24 hours I put water in them and green food coloring, then I added fresh cranberries and a candle.  They looked really nice as a Christmas center piece. The candles were a bit too heavy but, it still looked good.
Below is one of the many websites I seen for this project. I used E-6000 glue I had read on Pinterest how good it holds up.  http://homespunwithlove.blogspot.com/2011/05/diy-pedestal-jars-pt1.html

Introduction

Welcome to my blog:

I seen on Pinterest how to do glass etchings and I wanted to try it out, so I purchased a Martha Stewart kit.  I found out not only is it really easy but, it is a lot of fun too.

Then I wanted to make my own stencils, so I looked into the different cutting machines.  I found for what I want to do that the Silhouette Cameo was the perfect fit.

Now, I can make my own etchings using contact paper from the Dollar Tree.  I also wanted a cutting machine that would cut vinyl. So I can make signs using vinyl.

This blog is going to show the various project I have done so far along with photos showing the different steps that I take to get the completed project.

Hope that you will enjoy reading my blog and that you can see anyone can do these projects.
I am not very talented when it comes to arts and crafts so if I can do it anyone can.
